Lemon Tree Doula Company postpartum care in Asheville, nc
I am so glad you are here! My name is Jenny and I am the owner of Lemon Tree Doula Company. Our company dedicates its work towards creating a world in which postpartum care is accessible and available to people of all backgrounds. We aim to support all new parents with the nourishment and support they deserve as they begin their journey into parenthood.
I’m Jenny, a certified postpartum doula supporting the Asheville, NC area.
I am a CAPPA trained postpartum doula and nursing student at Western Carolina University with plans to continue my education to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. Prior to launching Lemon Tree Doula Company, I supported birthing patients as a volunteer labor doula at the University of Vermont Medical Center and provided health care assistance through my job at Planned Parenthood.
I draw my inspiration to provide compassionate and evidence-based postpartum care to all parents from the many generations of women in my family who have worked in healthcare. The greatest inspiration for my model of care is my late grandmother Ann. She was a nurse in New York City helping care for people from all walks of life. The name Lemon Tree Doula Company pays tribute to her. My final memory with her was having the privilege to care for her by cooking for her her favorite treat; a lemon cake. I carry her love, compassion, and nourishment through food to my practice today.
The black and white image is my grandma Ann caring for a mother and her newborn in New York City in 1962.
