My name is Jenny and I am the owner of Lemon Tree Doula Company. Our company dedicates its work towards creating a world in which postpartum care is accessible and available to people of all backgrounds. We aim to support all new parents with the nourishment and support they deserve as they begin their journey into parenthood

 

About Jenny

 

My name is Jenny Hill and I am a CAPPA trained postpartum doula and current nursing student at Western Carolina University. My journey to being a postpartum doula began in 2019 when I was made to feel judged and uncomfortable by my OBGYN. Since then I have started on this journey of discovering my passion and purpose through supporting birthing people before, during, and after birth.

Prior to launching Lemon Tree Doula Company, I was a volunteer labor doula at the University of Vermont Medical Center and worked as a healthcare assistant across the South East for Planned Parenthood. I took my postpartum training course with CAPPA in 2023 and am finishing the final steps to be fully certified by the end of 2024.

I am lucky to come from generations of women who have cared for other women through careers in healthcare. My aunt and godmother has been a labor and delivery nurse in the greater Boston Area for over 20 years and my late grandmother Ann was a traveling nurse in New York City.

I aspire to ensure people of all races, religions, sexualities, and economic situations have access to excellent doula care. Lemon Tree Doula Company is the vessel through which I share my passion for supporting new parents on the crazy journey of parenthood.

Here are a few of my favorite things:

  • hiking with my dog Captain and partner logan 
  • spending hours in the kitchen cooking with family  
  • sitting in the sun with a good book or podcast

I am a lover of the outdoors and quality time with my family. This can come through small moments like a short walk around the neighborhood, or gathering to cook a fancy dinner accompanied after with a good glass of wine outside by the fire.

Book

After our free consultation I will send you a contract of services to review and sign. Once the contract is signed and the deposit is made you have officially booked your doula services.

During the booking process we will determine what type of care is best for your family as well as set a schedule for my visits to your home.
